Abstract

Abstract A disc case in constructed for receiving a disc on which information data are recorded and for supporting the disc rotatably in the disc case (35). The disc case (35) can be set into a reproducing apparatus with the disc (31) received in the disc case. The disc case (35) receives the disc releasably. When set into the reproducing apparatus, while the disc case (35) is fixed in position within the reproducing apparatus, the disc (31) is driven in rotation and thus the information data are reproduced by the reproducing apparatus. The disc case (35) comprises a disc case carrying mechanism for carrying the disc case in cooperation with the reproducing apparatus so as to be loaded or unloaded to the reproducing apparatus.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 13
Claim 1
Independent Claim 118 words
A disc case for receiving a disc on which information data are recorded and for supporting said disc rotatablyin said disc case, said disc case being able to be set into a reproducing apparatus with said disc received in said disc case, wherein said disc case receives said disc releasably, wherein, when set into the reproducing apparatus, while said disc case is fixed in position within the reproducing apparatus, said disc is driven in rotation and said information data are reproduced by the reproducing apparatus, and wherein said disc case comprises a disc case carrying mecahnism for carrying said disc case in cooperation with the reproducing apparatus so as to be loaded or unloaded to the reproducing apparatus.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 118 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 38 words
A disc case according to Claim 1, wherein said disc case carrying mechanism comprises a rack which is formed on said disc case and carries said disc case in cooperation with a pinion arranged on the reproducing apparatus.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 42 words
A disc case according to Claim 2, wherein said disc case carrying mechanism comprises a guide groove which is formed on said disc case and guides to carry said disc case in cooperation with a guide member arranged on the reproducing apparatus.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 35 words
A disc case according to Claim 3, wherein said rack is formed on a bottom surface of said guide groove, the pinion arranged on the reproducing apparatus engaging with said rack in said guide groove.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 58 words
A disc case according to Claim 1, wherein said disc case carrying mechanism comprises a detection part which is arranged on said disc case and is detected by detecting means arranged on the reproducing apparatus when carrying said disc case so that it is descriminated whether said disc case exists in a predetermined position within the reproducing apparatus.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 33 words
A disc case according to Claim 5, wherein said detection part is selected from the group consisting of a hole, recess and projection, and is formed on the surface of said disc case.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 58 words
A disc case according to Claim 6, wherein said disc case carrying mechanism further comprises a guide groove which is formed on said disc case and guides to carry said disc case in cooperation with a guide member arranged on the reproducing apparatus, and wherein said detection part is formed on a bottom surface of said guide groove.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 105 words
A disc case according to Claim 1, further comprising an aperture through which a reproducing head of the reproducing apparatus accesses the portion of said information data recorded on said disc, and a shutter plate for opening and closing said aperture, which is provided integrally with an engaging part, said engaging part cooperating with an actuating member of the reproducing apparatus during the carrying of said disc case by said disc case carrying mechanism, said shutter plate opening said aperture when said disc case is set into the reproducing apparatus and closing said aperture when said disc case is released out of the reproducing apparatus.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 22 words
A disc case according to claim 8, wherein said shutter plate rotates concentrically with said disc to open and close said aperture.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 43 words
A disc case according to Claim 8, wherein said disc case carrying mechanism further comprises a guide groove which is formed on said disc case and guides to carry said disc case in cooperation with a guide member arranged on the reproducing apparatus.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 33 words
A disc case according to Claim 1, further comprising a back-title note inserting groove which is formed on one side of said disc case and in which a back-title note is received exchangeably.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 48 words
A disc case according to Claim 11, wherein said disc case consists of at least two pieces which are free to open and close with each other, one of said pieces opening and closing said back-title note inserting groove in relation to opening and closing of said pieces.
