Abstract
Abstract A solution in a water-soluble solvent, of a polymer of formula -(NH-CH[(CH2)n-COO-CR<1>R<2>-OOC-R]-CO)x- where R<1> and R<2> are alkyls or hydrogen and R is aliphatic or aromatic, is deposited on the skin so as to form a layer which is then washed with water to remove the solvent and thus to produce a protective film-forming coating on the skin.
