Optical system for the simultaneous reception of thermal and laser radiation
Abstract
An optical receiving system for heat radiation should be usable with little modification for the simultaneous, low-loss reception of laser radiation and should continue to consist of common, common assemblies. For this purpose, according to the scanner and the geometric separation of heat and laser radiation, the laser radiation is geometrically decoupled from the common receiving channel, the decoupled laser radiation being directed from the thermal radiation via a simple optical assembly onto a preferably common sensor. To use the common receiving channel (1) and thus also the receiving optics for emitting the laser radiation, the transmitting radiation (50) can be coupled into the separated laser receiving channel (55) via a polarization switch (52, 53) (Fig. 18, 19). In this way, the transmission optics are saved, and there are good optical conditions for the transmission radiation without impairing the common reception channel. The invention is applicable to the combination of a thermal imaging device with a laser range finder.
