Abstract

The invention relates to a device for controlling the operability of switching devices using one or more integration stages for detecting the switching capacity. One or more detection devices (3, 4, 5, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21) are provided which reflect the device status, in particular the switching capacity. The sensors are operatively connected to the switch drive (14) of the switch (2) via a processing stage (9). The current sensors (3 to 5), together with the counting device (11), can ∫ i.n.dt, i.e. a measure of the stress on the switchgear, and thereby block the drive of the device (2). The detection device (15 to 18) can detect the insulation state of the arcing chamber, the state of the contacts and the mechanics as well as the temperature distribution on the switching device and the connecting lines. The device according to the invention is used for the early detection of switching devices that are no longer ready for operation, so that they can be replaced prematurely.
