Automatic guiding method and apparatsu for moving objects especially for driverless self-propelled vehicles
Abstract
A self-propelled cart is equipped with a double camera (CA), the two tracks of which are provided with respective perpendicular polarizers. A headlight illuminates the field of view of the camera (CA). Polarized light retro-reflective beacons are located there. A preprocessing (PT) of the two images provided by the dual camera makes it possible to find the tags there by difference. During a learning phase, a series of information on positions of the tags in the image is recorded as a reference in a memory (MP). Subsequently, the processor (PR) compares the current image to one of the recorded images, which allows automatic control of the carriage on a trajectory which it has been taught, and which is defined by the content of the memory (MP).
