Abstract

Abstract A permanent magnet field rotor (20) for a synchronous motor such as an AC servo motor has a shaft (21 1),a pair of end plates (22,23) which are secured to the shaft (21) and are separated in the axial direction along the shaft (21), a plurality of permanent magnets (24) which each extend outward in the radial direction of the shaft (21) and also between the end plates (22,23) in the axial direction of the shaft (21), and a plurality of yokes (25) retaining the permanent magnets (24), each of the yokes (25) being arranged between adjacent of the permanent magnets and extending between the end plates in the axial direction of the shaft (21). Both ends of each yoke (25) are provided with axial projections (34,35). The end plates (22,23) are provided with engagement holes (36,37), respectively, which engage with the axial projections (34,35) so as to limit the movement of the yokes (25) in the circumferential and radial directions.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 103 words
A permazent-magnat field rotor, comprising: a shaft; a pair of end plates fixed on said shaft and axially spaced from each other; a plurality of permanent magnets each extending outwardly in the radial direction of said shaft and axially extending between said end plates; and a plurality of yokes disposed between said successive permanent magnets to hold said permanent magnets and axially extending between said end plates; each of said yokes having a protrusion at either end thereof, and said end plates having therein an engagement hole which serves, when engaged on said protrusion, to prevent the yoke from moving circumferentially and radially.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 103 words
A permazent-magnat field rotor, comprising: a shaft; a pair of end plates fixed on said shaft and axially spaced from each other; a plurality of permanent magnets each extending outwardly in the radial direction of said shaft and axially extending between said end plates; and a plurality of yokes disposed between said successive permanent magnets to hold said permanent magnets and axially extending between said end plates; each of said yokes having a protrusion at either end thereof, and said end plates having therein an engagement hole which serves, when engaged on said protrusion, to prevent the yoke from moving circumferentially and radially.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 74 words
A permanent-magnet field rotor as set forth in Claim 1, in which said shaft has an outer cylindrical surface to support said end plates and has a keyway formed in said outer cylindrical surface thereof, and each of said end plates has an inner cylindrical face fittable on said shaft and a radial protrusion extending from said inner cylindrical face inwardly in the radial direction and which engages in said keyway in the shaft.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 42 words
A permanent-magnet field rotor as set forth in 5 Claim 1, in which each of said yokes is provided at either circumferential corner thereof with a protruding edge for preventing the permanent magnet from moving in the radial direction of said shaft.
