Process and device for severing conductive paths
Abstract
In the case of printed circuit boards suitable for subsequent connection changes, two opposite connection surfaces (1, 2) are connected to one another in an electrically conductive manner by a conductor web (3) on the outer layers. If a connection surface (1) or a wrap pin (4) soldered into it is used as a base for a change wiring, then the connection to the other connection surface (2) must be interrupted, ie the conductor track web (3) must be cut safely without damaging the circuit board will. For this purpose, the connection surfaces (1, 2) or possibly also the wrap pin (4) are contacted with the aid of electrodes (5, 8), whereupon the conductor track web (3) is completely burned out by resistance heating. A current pulse suitable for resistance blowing is generated by a control unit (12) connected to the electrodes (5, 8).
