Abstract
Abstract @ A machine is disclosed for drilling sheet-like materials, in particular for drilling holes at preset locations on glass, crystal glass, and the like plate blanks, which includes a feed-in station (1) and a drilling station (2). The feed-in station (1) is provided with a means of sliding a plate blank (3) to be drilled, forward, which has a plurality of rollers (5), at least some of which are driving rollers, the rollers being effective to impart a forward movement to the plate blank (3) and provided with a means of combining this forward movement with an approaching movement of the plate blank (3) toward an abutment member connected to the frame of the feed-in station (1).

A machine for drilling fragile sheet-like materials, in particular sheet glass or the like, of a type comprising a feed-in station (1) for a sheet blank (3) arranged to cooperate with a sheet blank drilling station (2), said feed-in station (1) including a frame (4), a means of moving said sheet blank (3) slidingly on said frame (4), and a position reference means (21-22) for said sheet blank (3), said sheet blank drilling station (2) including a frame (30) provided with a holding and locating means for drill units (31a,31b) overlying and underlying a working zone and adapted to interact with said sheet blank (3) at said working zone, characterized in that said slide means comprises a plurality of rollers (5) at least some whereof are driven by a motor unit (6) and provided with a means of combining a forward movement of said sheet blank (3) with an approaching movement of said sheet blank (3) toward an abutment member connected to said frame (4).
