Abstract

The electromagnetic valve comprises a valve body (3) a magnetic core (4) cooperating with a seat (6), a winding (11) for moving the core (4) against the action of a spring (7), a inlet channel (19) and an outlet channel (20). The valve body (3) is housed in a cylindrical chamber (2) of a hydraulic block (1) having an inlet (14) and outlet (22) conduit communicating with the inlet channel (19), respectively outlet (20) of the valve body (3). A flexible seal (16) connects the wall of the cylindrical chamber (2) with the edge of the inlet channel (19) and a compression spring (23) is disposed between the underside (24) of the body (3) and the hydraulic block (1). This arrangement makes it possible to gradually brake the moving liquid when the valve closes and to eliminate the water hammer. It is thus possible to adjust the pressure in an installation according to a substantially linear function of the ratio of the duration of opening of the valve and the period of the pulsed current supplying the winding (11).
