Abstract Translated from French Un câble sous-marin selon l'invention comporte notamment un coeur optique protégé par une gaine (6) en polychlorure de vinyle, une voûte en fils d'acier ou d'aluminium (7) entourée d'une gaine de cuivre ou d'aluminium (8). L'étanchéification longitudinale de la voûte est assurée par un produit adhésif (10) à base de résine époxyde et de copolymères de polybutadiène et de butadiène. A submarine cable according to the invention notably comprises an optical core protected by a polyvinyl chloride sheath (6), a vault made of steel or aluminum wires (7) surrounded by a copper sheath or aluminum (8). The longitudinal sealing of the vault is ensured by an adhesive product (10) based on epoxy resin and copolymers of polybutadiene and butadiene.
