Abstract

Abstract An actuator device for an instep presser, particularly useful in rear entrance ski boots, comprises a cable (1) extending above a presser located inside the boot shell at the instep region and being attached with one end to a side point on the shell, and with the other end to an actuator element. A peculiar aspect of the invention is that the actuator element includes a cable take-up reel (10) made rotatively rigid with a knob (20) carried, for rotational and axial movements, on a fixed body (15) associated with the shell. Also provided is a means of releasably preventing rotation of the knob (20), which comprises front tooth formations (30,31), respectively provided on the fixed body (15) and knob (20).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim 126 words
An actuator device for an instep presser, particularly useful in rear entrance ski boots, comprising a cable (1) extending above a presser (5) located inside the boot shell (4) at the foot instep region and being attached with one end to a side point (3) on the shell (4) and with the other end to an actuator element, characterized in that said actuator element comprises a take-up reel (10) for said cable (1) and made rotatively rigid with a knob (20) carried, for rotational and axial movements, on a fixed body (15) associated with said shell (4), and that a means is provided of releasably preventing rotation of said knob including front tooth formations (30,31), respectively provided on said fixed body (15) and said knob (20).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 126 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 73 words
An actuator device according to Claim 1, characterized in that said cable (1) is arranged to slide within a flexible sheath (2) extending inside said shell (4) and being connected with one end to the inner side surface of said shell (4) and guided in a supporting block (6) attached to the side surface of said shell lying remote from said point (3) of attachment of said cable (1) to said shell (4).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 43 words
An actuator device according to the preceding claims, characterized in that said sheath (2) is rigidly connected, by engagement of a small bushing (17) with a yoke (16), to said fixed body (15) on the interior whereof said reel (10) is carried rotatably.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 43 words
An actuator device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said reel (10) has a pulley portion (11) whence there extends axially a tang (12) rotatably accommodated in a bushing portion (18) defined on said fixed body (15).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 53 words
An actuator device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said tang (12) is connected rigidly to a small cover (25) plugging said knob (20) and having a slot (24) adapted to be engaged, for axial sliding movement, by a radial tab (23) defined within said knob (20).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 50 words
An actuator device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said knob (20) has an outer cylindrical body (21) joined, by the virtue of an internal base plate (27), to an inner cylindrical body (22) thereby rotatably engaging the exterior of said bushing portion (18).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 51 words
An actuator device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said front tooth formations (30,31) are respectively provided on said fixed body (15) at the attachment area of said bushing portion (18) and on said knob (20) at the base of said inner cylindrical body (22).
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 51 words
An actuator device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises an elastic means (40) acting between said small cover (25) and the internal base plate (27) of said knob (20) such as to relatively engage, and elastically hold said front tooth formations (30,31) together.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 55 words
An actuator device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a travel end stop element for the rotation movement of said knob (20) including a peg (50) mounted to extend axially from said knob (20) and adapted to engage by contact with a detent defined on said shell.
