Abstract

In this device, the earth current (11) impressed by at least one current transformer (9), which is primarily designed as a toroidal core transformer, in this earth line (11) 5) as well as in the excitation circuit (4). Appropriate summation of the earth current flowing in the earth line with the earth current flowing in the field circuit achieves a selective display with regard to the position of the earth fault in the field circuit.
