Abstract Translated from German Die Erfindung betrifft elektrische Isolierungen auf Polyolefinbasis für Mittel- und Hochspannung ab ca. 10 kV und stellt sich die Aufgabe, bei Isolierungen dieser Art die Bildung von sogenannten Wasserbäumchen durch geeignete Zusätze wirksam und dauerhaft zu unterbinden. Dazu ist vorgesehen, daß die Isolierungen als Zusatz - in homogener Verteilung - 0,05 bis 10 Ge.-%, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht, eines für Schwermetallionen adsorptionsaktiven oder Schwermetallionen im Ionenaustausch bindenden Stoffes mit einer Partikelgröße bis zu 50 µ bzw. einer Agglomeratgröße bis zu 100 µm enthalten. Die erfindungsgemäßen elektrischen Isolierungen eignen sich insbesondere zur Verwendung in Kabeln und Leitungen.
