Suspension device and steering device for the front wheel of a motor-cycle
Abstract
The invention relates to the front axles of two-wheeled vehicles making it possible to dissociate the suspension and steering functions by means of a mechanical assembly integrating into the front wheel. The method according to the invention makes it possible to produce a front axle having very good guidance, very compact, very light, having few wheelbase variations, having a very low center of gravity, multiple adjustment possibilities that are easy to master. It includes a lower triangle 2 and 2 'pass through the hub of the wheel and can be dismantled for its removal, a lateral arm 4 and 5 acting as a pivot, an upper triangle 3 positioned above the wheel, which activates the shock absorber 13, a handlebar 15 which controls the link 16 and the pivot 4 and 5. The invention relates mainly to high performance motorcycles.
