Device for the semi-automatic or fully automatic shift control of gear boxes
Abstract
Abstract Shift device for semi-automatic or fully automatic shifting of multi-stage gear-change transmissions with mechanical synchronisation, especially for motor vehicles with an electrical/electronic control part, the gear-change being initiated manually on a shift selector or being induced automatically with purely electrical control and adjustment devices or with adjustment pistons, control valves or else magnetic valves, for the movement of the clutch and transmission parts to be shifted for a gear-change, the shift selector having two selector levers by means of which the gear range provided for an automatic shift can be determined both upwards and downwards, and the shift selector having in addition a lock, affecting both selector levers, which always acts through the respective gear selected in the automatic system so that on movement of either one of the selector levers this is held in the selected gear and that a movement for a servo-manual shift can be carried out only with the two selector levers operated in parallel. If the automatic system is designed only for the basic and auxiliary transmission gears, the shift selector has another electrical switch with which, for example, the high and low range can be selected or shifted. The gear lock can also be effected additionally via a pressure switch which is arranged with priority in the region of the accelerator lever. The driver is thus able, for example, to make an automatic gear shift at any time or also to change over from manual shift to automatic shift at any time. <IMAGE>
