Coin sorting apparatus
Abstract
Abstract The coin sorting apparatus sorts foreign coins in a plurality of successive sorting stations. Instead of the foreign-coin sensor necessary hitherto in each sorting station, the standard-coin sensor is equipped with a second measuring zone which is located outside the measuring zone assigned to the standard coins. In this second measuring zone, the sensor releases the ejector for an ejection of foreign coins, whilst in the first measuring zone it is actuated with the effect of an ejection of standard coins. The sorting machine thus makes do with half the number of diameter sensors and the regular maintenance outlay is also reduced accordingly. <IMAGE>
