Claim 3
Dependent Claim
50 words
An apparatus (100) as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the reconstruction control circuit (21) performs in such a manner that at least two helically-scanned projection signals which are succeedingly detected during the examination are averaged so as to obtain one tomographic image of the slice of the object.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
58 words
An apparatus (100) as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the reconstruction control circuit (21) performs in such a manner that at least two helically-scanned projection signals which are succeedingly detected during the examination are processed to reconstruct two tomographic images and thereafter averaged so as to obtain one tomographic image of the slice of the object.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
104 words
An apparatus (100) as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises: a system control circuit (23) which is coupled to control the table couch drive control circuit (18) and the radiation source (13) in such a manner that a plurality of the helically-scanned projection signals is detected in the detection means (14) by controlling the continuous transportation of the object (M) with respect to the relative movement between the radiation source (13) and the detector means (14) so as to scan the object (M) at a predetermined smaller scanning pitch than an effective width of the slice of the object (M).
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
103 words
An apparatus as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that it further comprises: a data correction circuit (20) which is interposed between the detection means (14) and the reconstruction control circuit (21) so as to correct the helically-scanned projection signals derived from the detection means (14) in such a manner that at least one helically-scanned projection signal is obtained for one slice of the object (M) and the adjoining slice thereof respectively, and a signal portion of the helically-scanned projection signal of one slice at a predetermined projection angle is corrected based upon that of the adjoining slice at the same projection angle.
