Abstract
Abstract The copolymer comprises from 5 to 60% by weight of an N-(1- alkenyl)isocynate and from 96 to 40% by weight of at least one (meth)acrylic acid ester, some of which may be replaced by other copolymerisable, olefinically unsaturated compounds containing no OH-, CH-, NH- or SH-acidic groups, and has a mean molecular weight of from 500 to 10,000, and is used, in combination with either hydroxyl- containing polyacrylates and/or polyesters or low-molecular-weight diols and/or polyols or water, as a binder for polyurethane paints, for example for automotive refinish paints.
