Device for the removal or preparation of antibodies or antigenes from blood, its production and use
Abstract
The device (5) essentially consists of a bundle of hollow capillary fibers, preferably fibers of cellulose or of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, inside which is fixed covalently a ligand selective for the substance, antibody or antigen, to be eliminated or recovered, present in the blood. To purify the blood by extra-bodily circulation "in vivo", it is taken for example from the femoral artery (1), heparin (3) is added before passing it through the device (5) and then degas (7) and returns it to the femoral vein (10).
