Abstract
Abstract A dithiolphosphoric acid ester of the formula:wherein R is a methyl or ethyl group, and when R is a methyl group, A is an iso-butyl, sec-butyl or tert-butyl group and B is a methyl, ethyl or n-propyl group, and when R is an ethyl group, either (1) A is a sec-butyl or tert-butyl group and B is a methyl group, or (2) A is an iso-butyl group, and B is a methyl, ethyl or n-propyl group. These esters are useful to combat soil pests.

A method of producing a dithiolphosphoric acid ester as defined in any one of the preceding claims which comprises reacting a thiophosphoric acid halide of the formula: wherein R is as defined in any one of claims 1 to 4, R' is A or B as defined in any one of claims 1 to 4 and X is a halogen atom, with an alkylmercaptan of the formula: R"SH wherein R" is the above B when the above R' is A, and is the above A when the above R' is B.
