Electronic test apparatus with an ambient-cryogenic temperature interface for testing high speed ambient temperature electronic devices (2), having a cryogenic temperature measuring device (1) arranged in a dewar (14), test operating electronics, and first and second mounting stations for the device to be tested and for the measuring device, respectively, the ambient environment and the cryogenic temperature environment being connected via a pass-through channel,.characterized by - a pass-through plug having two portions (3, 4) complementary for part of the plug length for forming a removable plug which is operative to seal the pass-through channel to maintain separation between the ambient temperature range environment and the cryogenic environment, the plug having first and second non-complementary extensions to serve as first and second mounting stations, - at least one planar transmission line (5) of multiple conductors arranged on at least one of the plug portions (3, 4) and connecting the first and the second mounting station, - plug sealing means (6) associated with the complementary portions (3, 6) of the plug and providing a seal for the cryogenic environment with respect to the ambient environment, - electrical connections at. said first station to connect the ambient temperature device temporarily to the operating electronics and to a first end of'the transmission line (5), and by - electrical connections at said second station to connect the cryogenic measuring device to the operating electronics and to the other end of the transmission line (5).
