Abstract

A method for contactless testing of an object, in particular of microwiring, with a corpuscular beam probe is intended to allow resistance determination without stress and without changes in the state of charge of this object over time. A first measuring spot (1) is irradiated with a write beam (WB) of approximately one primary electron energy EPE = 2Eo, Eo being the energy at which the number of charges leaving the object is equal to the number of charges incident on the object. Then a further measuring spot (2, 3, 4, 13) is checked whether it has a conductive connection with the first measuring spot (1). The second measuring spot (13) can be checked to determine whether a sample stream (i) is flowing. A reading beam (RB) of approximately one primary electron energy EPE = Eo can be directed onto the second measuring spot (2, 3, 4). The number of secondary electrons (SE) detected by a detector (DT) then serves to determine whether there is a conductive connection between the first measuring spot (1) and the second measuring spot (2, 3, 4).
