Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 99 words
1 . An immunoassay method employing a bibulous su p- port to which is attached a mip and the amount of a mipperoxidase conjugate which binds to the mip on the support is related to the amount of analyte in a sample, where the peroxidase catalyzes the formation of a dye which binds to said support and ascorbate in said sample interferes with the production of said dye, characterised in that said support is impregnated with a sufficient amount of periodate to reduce said ascorbate interference to a level which does not interfere with the detection of said analyte.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 99 words

Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein said periodate is impregnated in combination with a protein stabilizer and a saccharide stabilizer.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 18 words
A method according to Claim 2, wherein said protein stabilizer is albumin and said saccharide stabilizer is sucrose.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
A method according to Claim 1, wherein an oxidase capable of catalyzing the formation of hydrogen peroxide is bound to said support.
Claim 6
Independent Claim 18 words
A method according to any of Claims 1 or 4, wherein an antibody is bound to said support.
