Piston pump
Abstract
Abstract Piston pump in which a piston (3) that can be moved in a cylinder (2) without being sealed against the cylinder wall (2) is arranged in such a way that by moving in a first direction (5) it displaces a medium to be conveyed in the conveying direction, this being associated with drawing-in from a reservoir, the piston speed being chosen so high that given the occurrence of a counterpressure the medium does not flow away completely through the gap (4) between the piston (3) and the cylinder (2), and in the case of movement in a direction (6) counter to the first direction the pump chamber is filled up again, at least partially, by a flow of medium through the gap between the piston (3) and the cylinder wall (2). <IMAGE>
