Abstract This invention discloses an optical information processor which comprises: a recording medium (76) equipped with mirror areas disposed equidistantly inside an information track (77) recorded by a light beam; a light detector (78, 79) receiving the diffraction light from the information track by the light beam; first signal detecting means (81, 82, 82', 83, 84, 85) differentially operating the signals from the light detector and generating a tracking signal tracking the information track; and second signal detecting means (80, 85) detecting the signal from the mirror areas of the tracking signal; wherein offset in the tracking signal is removed by use of the signal from the second signal detecting means.
An optical information processor characterized by a recording medium (76) equipped with mirror areas (63) for reflecting light spot as such, said mirror areas being disposed in a track (77) for optically recording and reproducing predetermined information; a light detector (79) having two light receiving portions for receiving diffraction light from said track; first means (80) differentially processing the signals from said light receiving portions of said light detector and providing a tracking signal for tracking said track; second means (81) detecting signals generated from said reflecting area in said tracking signal; and third means (85) differentially processing the output from said first means and the output from said second means; wherein said light spot tracks said track by the output of said third means.
