Abstract

In the case of these pneumatic tires, which are designed as belted tires, the part of the tread zone located above the belt is made in two layers. Above a base layer, an upper layer having the tread is provided. In order to rule out damage caused by increased temperature effects and thus achieve high-speed suitability and also to avoid cracks in the base of the profile, a synthetic rubber with a dynamic modulus of elasticity of about 6 to 15 N / mm 2 and a dynamic loss modulus of is used for the base layer facing the belt about 1.5 to 4.0 N / mm 2 used. The base layer designed in this way is to have a hardness which is greater than that of the upper layer, and is thus about 10 to 15 Shore Grade A harder. In particular, the wet skid resistance of the base layer should be greater than the wet skid resistance of the top layer. The differences are said to be about 4 to 7%. The separating surface between the top layer and the base layer can also be arranged above the base of the profile.
