Da die gesamte Aufprallenergie durch die äußere Schale aufgenommen werden muß, muß diese Schale sehr fest und damit schwer ausgeführt werden. Durch die Erfindung wird ein derartiger Helm derart weitergebildet, daß er bei niedrigem Gewicht eine hohe Druck- und Verwindungssteifigkeit hat. Bei dem Helm gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung sind die Schalen durch eine Mehrzahl von gegeneinander beabstandeten Verbindungselementen einstückig miteinander verbunden.
