Opto-electronic method for reading information from a magnetic disc, and circuit therefor
Abstract
Opto-electronic method for reading information contained on a magnetic medium (SM) on a plurality of tracks, receiving the information in the form of a plurality of light spots (IDi) projected onto a plane (P) where a plurality of electronic photo transducers aligned on at least one row (BTRPEij1), at least two transducers being associated (TRPEij, TRPE (i + 1) j) with the same spot. According to the invention, the method is characterized in that, at determined sampling instants, the electrical image of the portion of track observed is acquired, in the form of a plurality of analog pulses (S'TRPEij, S 'TRPEI (i + 1) j), which are shifted in parallel (REGP1) then transferred to a register (REGS1) where they are shifted in series, until an analog output signal (SSR1) is obtained, then transformed into a logic signal of frequency equal to the writing frequency (fE) of the information on the support (SM). Applicable to magneto-optical memories.
