Abstract
Abstract An observation apparatus, and in particular a CCD camera is used for observing a moving object (30) which has varying intensities of radiation eminating therefrom and which may move at varying speeds. Control means (38 - 56, 64 - 74, 86, 88) are provided to substantially prevent overlapping of successive images and to allow the exposure times and scan times to be varied independently of each other (Figure 6).
