Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 68 words
Fever thermometer protector consisting of a film (2) fixed to a backing material (4), characterized in that the film is an expansible plastic film with a thickness of between 0.005 and 0.1 mm and with an expansibility of 700% without_significant elasticity, a yield point of below 15 MPa and a breaking strength of at least 32 MPa and in that the backing material has low expansibility and elasticity.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 68 words
Fever thermometer protector consisting of a film (2) fixed to a backing material (4), characterized in that the film is an expansible plastic film with a thickness of between 0.005 and 0.1 mm and with an expansibility of 700% without_significant elasticity, a yield point of below 15 MPa and a breaking strength of at least 32 MPa and in that the backing material has low expansibility and elasticity.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 40 words
Fever thermometer protector according to Claim 1, characterized in that the backing material is paper with an area weight of 20-50 g/m 2 provided with tear .indications, holes or perforations suitably disposed for penetration by the point of a thermometer.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 34 words
Fever thermometer protector according to Claim 2, characterized in that it consists of an expansible plastic film onto which there has been glued or welded a piece of paper with centrally arranged tear indications.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
Fever thermometer protector according to Claim 1, characterized in that a U-shaped or annular plastic element is welded to the expansible film.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 79 words
Process for manufacturing a fever thermometer protector according to Claims 1-3, characterized in that a web of a plastic film (2) with an expansibility of at least 700%, a yield point below 15 MPa and a breaking strength of at least 32 MPa, and a thickness of between 0.005 and 0.1 mm, is . passed through press rollers where it is pressed together with a web (20) of backing material, said two webs being welded together by heat (18,19).
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 41 words
Process for manufacturing a fever thermometer protector according to a modification of Claim 5, characterized in that the paper web (8) is provided with one or more strings of adhesive and is thereafter pressed together with the plastic sheeting web (13).
