Abstract

In the case of a writing instrument working with liquid droplets, in which at least one nozzle arranged in a carrier is available for writing, if necessary, writing liquid can be applied from the nozzle to a recording medium arranged in front of its outlet opening. In order to prevent undesired seeping of writing liquid from the nozzle and thus to prevent a coating of liquid and paper dust from clogging the outlet opening of the nozzles, the invention provides that the side (6) of the nozzle holder (6) facing the recording medium (3) 10) is provided with a layer (15), the surface tension of which is lower than the surface tension of the writing liquid.
