Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 126 words
A process for reducing the drag of aqueous media in turbulent or pulsating flow, which comprises adding to the aqueous medium from 0.01 to 2% by weight of a compound of the formula in which K denotes a group of the formula R 2 denotes C l -C 3 -alkyl, preferably methyl, A denotes an anion of the following formulae R 3 denotes C 7 ―C 10 -alkyl or C 7 ―C 10 -Alkenyl and R 1 , if A = R 3 COO-, denotes C16-alkyl or C 16 -alkenyl, if A = thiocyanate, denotes C 16 ―C 26 -alkyl or Ci 6 -C 26 - alkenyl and, if A = p-toluenesulfonate, denotes C 12 ―C 26 -alkyl or C 1z -C 26 -alkenyl, except cetyltrimethylammonium-p-toluenesulfonate.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 126 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 31 words
The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein, in addition, the solution is adjusted to a pH value of up to 4.5 or above 9 by adding acids or bases respectively.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 22 words
The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein alkali metal, alkaline earth metal, transition metal, ammonium or aluminium salts are also added.
