Abstract

Cyclone separators have in the lower area as a so-called swirl breaker a plate (16) with vertical guide devices (17), which is arranged above the water outlet (13) at the lower end and is intended to prevent steam residues from being carried away by the running water. According to the invention, a tube (21) leads upwards through the plate (16) along the axis of rotation (20). This creates an outlet for entrained steam, which improves the separator efficiency.
