Abstract

New low volatile, at room temperature liquid to solid (meth) -acrylate compounds with terminal (meth) -acrylic acid residues on an oligomer chain are described, the characteristic of the development being that as the oligomer chain a polyester oligomer essentially formed from hydroxycarboxylic acids is present. The preferred (meth) acrylate compounds are based on polyester oligomers that have an average molecular weight in the range of about 200-600. The use of these new reactive (meth) acrylate compounds in construction adhesives or in the field of surgical or dental medical binding and filling materials is also described.
