Claim 1
Independent Claim
84 words
(1) An industrial robot control method in a system having a machine tool, a numerical control device for controlling said machine tool, an industrial robot and a robot control device for controlling said industrial robot, characterized in that a plurality of NC programs are stored in the numerical control device and an NC program selection signal is generated by the robot control device to cause the numerical control device to execute numerical control processing based on the NC program corresponding to the selection signal.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
66 words
(2) An industrial robot control method according to claim 1, characterized in that a plurality of robot programs are stored in the robot control device, an NC program identification code is inserted beforehand into each of the robot programs, a predetermined robot program is selected, and a signal for selecting an NC program corresponding to said selected robot program is transmitted to the numerical control device.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
75 words
(3) An industrial robot control method according to claim 1, characterized in that a plurality of robot programs are stored in the robot control device, a correspondence table between the robot programs and NC programs is stored in memory in advance, a predetermined robot program is selected, and reference is made to said correspondence table to transmit to the numerical control device a signal for selecting an NC program corresponding to said selected robot program.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
64 words
(4) An industrial robot control method according to claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that a corresponding relationship between robot programs and the sizes of workpieces to be loaded or unloaded relative to a machine tool is stored in memory in advance, the sizes of the workpieces are discriminated, and a desired robot program is selected based on the results of the discrimination.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
64 words
(5) An industrial robot control method according to claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that a corresponding relationship between robot programs and the shapes of workpieces to be loaded or unloaded relative to a machine tool is stored in memory in advance, the shapes of the workpieces are discriminated, and a desired robot program is selected based on the results of the discrimination.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
56 words
(6) An industrial robot control method according to claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that a schedule, including the machining sequence of a plurality of workpieces and the number of workpieces to be machined, is stored beforehand in an internal memory of the robot control device, and robot programs are selected based on said schedule.
