Das Absorptionsmaterial besteht aus einem Träger, auf dem ein synthetisches oder natürliches, wasserquellbares Polymeres oder Copolymeres durch Behandeln des Trägers mit dem wenigstens teilweise gequollenen Polymeren oder Copolymeren und anschließendem Trocknen dauerhaft fixiert worden ist. The invention relates to an absorption material for water, aqueous solutions and aqueous body fluids, a process for its production and its use as an absorbent.
