Abstract A sauna having a bathroom (6, 56), and a far infrared radiation generator (8, 58) disposed in the bathroom. The generator is provided with an electric heater (10), and a far infrared radiation generating surface (14) having a ceramic particles layer (12) adapted to be heated by said electric heater for generating far infrared rays.
