Fuel injection device
Abstract
Abstract A fuel injection device for internal combustion engines with supercharging is proposed, which is used for dosing a fuel volume adapted to the air volume taken in and for controlling the fuel/air mixture in dependence on operating characteristics of the internal combustion engine. The fuel injection device comprises a compressor (5) in an intake tube section (6) upstream of a throttle valve (7) and main injection valves (14) arranged in individual suction tubes (8) for injecting fuel directly in front of the inlet valves of the individual cylinders of the internal combustion engine (4). The fuel dosing occurs in dependence on operating characteristics of the internal combustion engine, such as, for example, speed (22), air volume (23), throttle valve position (24) and temperature (25). Upstream of the compressor (5), an additional injection valve (27), via which fuel is injected in particular operating conditions of the internal combustion engine, is arranged at the suction tube section (2), which results in a cooling of the air taken in and of the compressor (5), with the consequence of improving the degree of filling of the internal combustion engine and resultant higher performance, lower consumption and lower proportions of poisonous exhaust-gas components. <IMAGE>
