Abstract

The invention relates to coating compositions based on aqueous polyurethane dispersions and to the use of the coating compositions for the production of top coats or finishes on flexible substrates, preferably on PVC. The coating compositions according to the invention consist of an aqueous polyurethane dispersion with certain chemical-physical properties and the following composition of the solid: A) 30 to 60% by weight of a hexanediol-1,6-polyesterdiol with a molecular weight of 500 to 6000, B) 0 to 8.0 % By weight of a low molecular weight triol with a molecular weight of 91 to 399, C) 3 to 30% by weight of one or more monovalent or polyvalent compounds which carry cationic and / or anionic groups and / or nonionic polyoxyethylene segments, D) 20 to 50% by weight of a dicyclohexylalkane diisocyanate of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different and are hydrogen or a straight-chain or branched aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, E) 2.5 up to 20% by weight of other aliphatic and / or cycloaliphatic diisocyanates, F) 0.5 to 4% by weight of hydrazine and, if appropriate, customary additives, auxiliaries and catalysts. The use of the coating dispersions gives good adhesion to PVC at a high quality level - such as high mechanical strength, high softening point, high hydrolysis aging, low plasticizer swelling and good plasticizer blocking effect.
