Abstract
Abstract A sealing ring in the form of a sleeve 4 of flexible, resilient material is adapted to seal off a space between two pipes 1, 2, installed concentrically about each other. The front surface of the sealing ring. sleeve, resp. comprises one open recess designed to form two legs 6a, 6b of a joining body in a C-shaped cross-sectional surface of the ring, sleeve 4, respectively. A form-stabilized ring 5 fits in the said recess and the said legs 6a, 6b adjoin the latter after instalment of the sealing ring in the form of sleeve 4.

Total Claims: 9
Claim 1
Independent Claim
79 words
A sealing ring adapted to seal off a space between two pipes installed concentrically about each other, the front surface of said ring comprising one open recess designed to form two legs of a joining body in a C-shaped cross-sectional surface of the ring, characterized in that the ring is a sleeve (4) of flexible resilient material, a form-stabilized ring (5) fitting in the recess the legs (6a, 6b) adjoining the latter after the sleeve (4) has been installed.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
40 words
A sealing ring according to claim 1, characterized in that the sides of the legs (6a, 6b) not facing the recess comprise protruding tongues (7) which form the circumferential ribs at the inner and outer circumference of the sleeve (4).
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
26 words
A sealing ring according to claim 1, characterized in that the legs (6a, 6b) converge towards their joining body in an unstressed condition of the sleeve.(4)
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
45 words
A sealing ring according to claim 1, characterized in that a joining body between the two legs (6a, 6b) has a curved shape and a front surface of the form-stabilized ring (5) is adapted to the curved shape of the joining body facing the recess.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
59 words
A sealing ring according to claim 1, characterized in that at the side of the recess at distance from the joining body, at least one of the legs (6a, 6b) comprises a tongue (10) directed towards the other leg which tongue forms a rib and fits across a front surface of the form-stabilized ring (5) installed in the recess.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
31 words
A sealing ring according to claim 1, characterized in that the ends of the legs (6a, 6b) extend tapering and form end parts of the sleeve (4) diverging from one another.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
39 words
A sealing ring according to claim 1, characterized in that at the front surface net facing the sleeve (4) the form-stabilized ring (5) comprises a circumferential collar (11) which fits against the front surface of the outer pipe (2).
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
16 words
A pipe assembly provided with a sealing ring according to one or several of claims 1-6.
