Method of concentrating distiller's wash

Abstract

Abstract The hot, dilute distiller's wash is let down in several stages (5), preferably to the highest possible temperature given by the corresponding pressure of the evaporator stage, and the resulting vapours are additionally used for heating the evaporator stage (2), while the preconcentrated distiller's wash is fed to the evaporator stage at the lowest pressure (VI). The preconcentrated dilute distiller's wash is passed through several evaporator stages in counter-current to the vapours and thus further concentrated. The final concentration of the distiller's washes can be reached by letting down (16) to a lower pressure. <IMAGE>
