Electronic control device for a manual or automatic transmission
Abstract
Abstract 1. Device for the electronic control of a manual or automatic gearbox comprising a plurality (n) of forward gear ratios and at least one reverse ratio, of the king in which the different states of the gearbox are obtained by the actuation of a plurality (p) of electromagnetic valves (EV1 to EV6) acting on members for the deceleration or the coupling in rotation of elements of the gearbox, the sequence of actuation of the electromagnetic valves making it possible to obtain a given state of the gearbox being established by logic means (L1, L2) from control signals of which the logic state 1 or 0 corresponds for each to the activation of this state, binary decoding means (CI.1, CI.2, CI.3, CI.4, L1, L2) deriving from the logic state of the control signals, the value 0 or 1 of each bit of a logic signal which, upon being fed to the inputs of a logic circuit (CI.5), provides an output word of several bits of which the number of bits (P) is the same as the number of electromagnetic valves and of which the state 0 or 1 of each bit is respectively fed to an input of the power control device (CEV1 to CEV6) of one of the electromagnetic valves (EV1 to EV6), characterised in that the logic circuit (CI.5) is a read only memory and the logic signal developed by the binary decoding means forms the address for calling the word of several bits in the memory and in that the input of the power control device (CEV1 to CEV3) of at least one electromagnetic valve (EV1 to EV3) comprises a logic AND circuit (E1 to E3) of which one input receives the state 0 or 1 of the bit allocated for actuation of this electromagnetic valve and another input receives a logic signal 1 delayed by a time-delay means (Tp1 to Tp4) triggered by the binary decoding means (CI.1, CI.2, CI.3, CI.4, L1, L2) simultaneously with the addressing of the word stored.
