Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 77 words
1 . A laser beam scanning mechanism in which the motion of a joystick is transformed into the inclination of a mirror, comprising; a mirror holder (9) for holding a mirror (10) and including a concave surface (19), said mirror holder (9) being movable with a point near the center (C) of said concave surface serving as a fulcrum; and a joystick (12) having one end in contact with said concave surface (19) of said mirror holder.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 77 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
A scanning mechanism as claimed in claim l, further including an adaptor body for mounting said joystick and said mirror holder.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 45 words
A scanning mechanism as claimed in claim 2, said adaptor body including means for supporting said mirror holder, said supporting means including pivot bearing means engaged with a surface spaced from said concave surface, and elastic means connnecting said mirror holder and said support means.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 22 words
A scanning mechanism as claimed in claim-3, said elastic means comprising spring means for urging said mirror holder toward said supporting means.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 22 words
A scanning mechanism as claimed in claim 3, said elastic means comprising an elostomer between said mirror holder and said supporting means.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 16 words
A scanning mechanism as claimed in claim 1, said joystick being pivotable about a stick fulcrum.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 33 words
A scanning mechanism as claimed in claim 6, in which a distance between the stick fulcrum and an end of said joystick slightly differs from a radius of curvature of said concave surface.
