Abstract
Abstract Disclosed is a novel recombinant DNA containing the tufB promoter of Escherichia coli and a gene coding for the biosynthesis of a eukaryotic protein such as human interferon β 1 . Also disclosed is a process for producing a eukaryotic protein by culturing a microorganism carrying a plasmid containing the tufB promoter and a gene coding for such protein.
