Liquid-level measuring system
Abstract
A liquid level measuring system is shown which consists of a tank (12), a sensor housing (20 ') connected to the upper part of the tank by a line (18') and a differential pressure measuring device (26 ') which has a Line is connected both to the lower part of the tank and to the sensor housing (20 '). In the sensor housing (20 ') is a pressure sensitive membrane (40), for. B. a bellows, which divides the housing into two separate chambers (42, 44). The first chamber (42) is in direct communication with the upper part of the tank. A float (50) is movably mounted in the second chamber (44). If the bellows (40) and the reference column break, the float (50) closes the inlet opening to the reference column. At the same time, an alarm is triggered, which indicates to an operator that the system is defective.
