Abstract

A method of manufacturing fuels from products received at the exit from composting plants provides that the products are sorted at the exit of the composting reactor to collect a fraction having a calorific value greater than 4000 kcal / kg. According to the invention, a binder which is either compost or sludge from water purification is mixed with these materials and the mixture obtained is compacted. The compost that is used as a binder can be compost made either from household refuse, or from water treatment sludge, or from a mixture of the two.
