Control-head for pneumatic springs, particularly for adjusting seats of sitting furniture
Abstract
The control head can be placed firmly on the piston rod (2) of a gas spring (1) and contains, in the interior of a housing (5), a latching mechanism (7) with which a valve arrangement that defines the mode of operation of the gas spring or the control rod (6) that actuates it one or the other of two switch positions can be brought. For this purpose, the latching mechanism (7) contains a control element (9) which is displaceably mounted in the housing (5) and whose actuating end (8) projects beyond the housing (5). By means of pulsed pressure on the actuating end (8), the control element (9) controls a switching element (23) in succession into a first or a second latching position with respect to a guide device fixed to the housing. In these two snap-in positions there is a stop element (24) of the switching element (23) in one of two reference positions, in which the valve arrangement of the gas spring switches its piston rod (2) to "freely movable" or "blocked".
