Abstract

In an injection mold for the production of moldings from two types of plastic, two injection units (4, 6) are connected to a mold cavity and a displaceable core (15) fills a region of the mold cavity in a blocking position and separates a first mold cavity region assigned to the first injection unit and the access opening of the first injection unit (6) into the mold cavity from a second mold cavity region connected to the second injection unit (4), the second mold cavity region first from the second injection unit and then after withdrawal of the core (15) the region of the mold cavity assigned to it and the first mold cavity region is filled from the first injection unit and the core forms a recess (37). It is desirable that two or more intricately shaped areas can be filled with different types of plastic and still form a coherent molded part. This is achieved if the recess (37) is provided in the blocking area of the core (15) and is connected to the second mold cavity area in the blocking position and the access opening of the first injection unit (6) into the mold cavity at the blocking core (15 ) lies. The parts that are injection-molded in succession in the two mold cavity regions hold together sufficiently firmly at the joint to form an overall molded part or molded body.
