Abstract In a lawnmower driven by an internal-combustion engine, the latter is started by pulling a starting handle attached to the end of a starting cable. The starting cable (4) is carried by a guide (2) which is so arranged on the handle linkage (3) of the mower that the handle (1) can be grasped when the mower is in the operating position. <IMAGE>
