Abstract A curler rod with a sleeve-shaped roller body (5) which can be pushed onto the heating rod (1), the push-on roller body (5) being formed from a basic body (9) made of heat-storing and heat-insulating material, there being provided on the cylindrical outer surface of the basic body (9) longitudinal grooves (14), in which strips (10) made of heat-insulating material with radially extending teeth (11) are arranged and the individual strips (10) arranged in parallel being connected to at least one annular disc (12, 13) which is held by the strips coaxially relative to the roller body (5) on its end face. <IMAGE>
